REALTORS® are required to complete ethics training of not less than 2 hours, 30 min. of instructional time within a three-year cycle. The training must meet specific learning objectives and criteria established by the National Association of REALTORS®. Failure to complete training during any cycle will lead to suspension of membership for the January and February immediately following the cycle deadline, with termination of membership starting March 1 after the cycle deadline.

The current three-year cycle is January 1, 2019 – December 31, 2021. 

Options for completing the requirement:
  • Take the FREE online class at nar.realtor (no CE credit)
  • Take an ethics class online through The CE Shop (CE credit) *Look for the orange “NAR Ethics” box beside the course title

*If you complete a NAR Code of Ethics class through a school other then the ones listed above you must send your certificate of completion to info@emtar.com.

To check your Code of Ethics status, login to our portal here and check “COE Complete: Y/N” under your name and office information.
